Members, friends and guests of ACGC who sign up to participate in the Ryder Cup Tournament are split into two teams of equal  ability.Every year, the two teams compete againt each other in an 18 hole tournament for bragging rights. 9 holes are played in the  ‘best ball’ format and the remaining 9 holes are played ‘4 ball format’. The winning team is determined by the combined results of all the members of the team who are in different play groups.

Success in the Ryder is not dependent on the capability of any one player as the tournament is scored based on overall team performance.  The winning team takes home the Ryder Cup Trophy, bragging rights for the a year and a sponsored hole-19 lunch, courtesy of the non-victorious team
